It uses the same core piezo inkjet technology and water-based pigment inks as the larger VegaPress machines but on a narrower web (roughly A3/A4 production width), allowing printers to produce monochrome books, training manuals, exam papers and transactional documents with far lower investment, floor space and power requirements.

 

While its speed and daily output are lower than the 440/660/880 models, it still runs continuous roll-fed printing with automated cutting and stacking, giving printers offset-like running costs without plates, long makereadies or warehousing — making it particularly suited to educational publishers, quick-turnaround book printers and on-demand publishing environments moving away from traditional offset workflows.
