The VegaPress 440 is the entry-width model in Atexco’s industrial web-fed inkjet commercial printing press range, designed mainly for high-volume book, manual, newspaper and educational printing. It uses industrial piezo inkjet printheads with water-based pigment ink and variable drop technology, printing on coated, uncoated, offset or newsprint papers.
Typical production speeds are around 100 m/min (roughly up to a million A4 pages per day) with print widths around 432 mm and resolutions up to about 600–1200 dpi depending on configuration.
The machine integrates an unwinder, buffering unit and automatic cutting/stacking system, allowing continuous roll-to-finished-stack operation and significantly reducing makeready waste and manual labour compared with offset printing.
